The 2014 InTheMix Awards results are in, but are they really InTheRight?

So once again, the hype and dissolution of the inthemix Awards is over for another year and once again the awards have been hit with backlash by pockets of the Australian audience as seen on different forms of social media.

At DancemusicAustralia.com we would like to say congratulations to all the winners in the individual categories and we would like to congratulate all award recipients on their achievements of this year.

Even though according to the stream of unjustifiable comments scattered throughout associated social media sites (even inclusive of inthemix’s own facebook page) suggest there will always be doubt in some people’s mind that certain awards or placings should have been awarded to particular alternative participants. Overall it’s safe to say though that the awards, give a clear, strong indication that the electronic dance music industry in Australia, is definitely in good health and shape.

DancemusicAustralia.com will soon be launching our very own online poll. Voting will only be exclusively conducted by registered Australian dance music artists on dancemusicaustralia.com only. Part of the poll will include a feature of the top 10 electronic dance music artists in Australia at the moment. The aim of course, recognising the efforts of their peers in the local industry.
