Time for a “Reissue” as some of Australia’s biggest artists have their tracks remixed.

Following the global launch of “The Reissue Project” at le coq sportif’s recently opened Sydney concept store at The Rocks. Australian music label Future Classic and le coq sportif have released six new exclusive remixes on the Future Classic Soundcloud page.

Producers including Derrick Carter, Greymatter, and Detroit Swindle were asked to deliver standout renditions of original tracks by the likes of Australian artists including Touch Sensitive, Flume, and Chet Faker. The remixes are coupled to the exclusively designed clothing range and can be downloaded after purchase.

In return, Future Classic has reissued tracks from their own archives, bringing them up to date with new remixes available exclusively via this collaboration.  The original tracks have been hand picked from Future Classic’s extensive back catalogue and range from Touch Sensitive’s 2006 classic “Body Stop”, to the first song Flume uploaded to Triple J Unearthed “Possum”, alongside Chet Faker’s1998” and some of the label’s early output by the likes of Luke Million, Peret Mako and Stick Figures.

Bringing these up to date are a mix of dance music legends and a crop of innovative producers including Chicago House pioneer Derrick Carter, local Acid House legend DJ HMC (aka Late Nite Tuff Guy) and NYC’s Jacques Renault, coupled with a tasteful house rework from Wolf Music’s Greymatter (UK) as well as French beatsmith Pyramid adding some parisienne flavour and Detroit Swindle disclosing their deep, Dutch vibes.

The tracks are available to stream from the Future Classic Soundcloud page as well as www.thereissueproject.com from today.
